Christian Niccum MormonChristian Niccum is an American luger who has competed since 1998.  He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormon Church.  He was born on January 27, 1978, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Though a doubles specialist in luge, Niccum raced singles in various times in his career. For the 2007-8 Luge World Cup season Niccum returned to doubles paired with fellow American Dan Joye. Both Niccum and Joye qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics in December 2009.

Christian is 6’2″ and weighs 190 pounds.  He resides near Seattle, Washington.  Christian started sliding in 1990 at the age 12.  He is married and has a daughter.  He has a family blog which can be found at Christianbbj.blogspot.com.
